About the event

We will start by looking at moths that have been caught in a light trap overnight, then learn a little about the ecology of moths and bats. At dusk we will head out around the lakes to look for bats, using bat detectors to listen to them via echolocation. We will joined by a local bat expert who will tell us more about bat ecology.

Suitable for families and adults. Suitable for children aged 7+. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are welcome to attend without children, as this event is suitable for all.
