Our work

Our work aims to create a Wilder Future

Our work is focused on protecting and enhancing wild places across Hampshire, the Island and our local seas. Encouraging more people on nature's side and creating more space for wildlife to thrive. This is only possible through collaborative efforts between the Trust, volunteers, and partner organisations such as councils, businesses, and major donors, as well as supporters like you, who play a vital role in shaping a brighter future for both wildlife and people.

We manage land for wildlife

We create space for wildlife to survive and thrive. Our work alongside our many partners, our brilliant army of volunteers and community we are building a growing network of sites that can help support nature’s recovery.

We need to make sure that the right legal and policy environment exists to protect wildlife and the natural environment. We use our evidence, our experience and our expertise to stand up for wildlife. With the help of our members and supporters we influence policy makers and push for positive change.

We protect our coast and sea

 The seas around Hampshire and the Isle of Wight are home to some wonderful animals and plants. We want to see these diverse habitats cherished and  where marine life thrives, from the depths of the ocean to the coastal shallows.

We connect people with nature

People are at the heart of our organisation and essential to creating a future rich in wildlife. It's vital people of all ages have the chance to get closer to nature. This connection brings benefits for the individual and the world around them.

Heathlands Reunited

Alongside eleven organisations, we worked to recreate, reconnect, and restore the South Downs National Park's remaining heathland.

We worked with ten other partners to restore lost habitats, develop Forest skills and inspire a new generation to care for the New Forest.
