About the event

With its amber eyes, free spirit and sheer speed, there are few animals which evoke such delight in those who are lucky enough to see it. Come and hear a talk by Jane Russ, Secretary of the Hare Preservation Trust about this most iconic of British mammals. Not only will you learn the differences between the brown, the mountain and the Irish hare but Jane will also talk about the myth and legend associated with it.

Jane is the compiler and sometimes writer of The Hare Book and has also written six other books and edited the rest of the Nature Series from Graffeg. Her latest, The Crow Family Book came out last November and she is just finishing The Butterfly Book with photography by Andrew Fusek Peters.

Expect an interesting evening of hares but other creatures might sneak in too!
