Running for wildlife: Trust staff raise over £2,000 at Romsey Relay

On Sunday 19th May, 20 staff members from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust took on the Romsey Relay Marathon

A highlight in the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust calendar, the Romsey Relay had come round again, and 20 willing volunteers came together at the Broadlands Estate and donned their blue shirts.

The results were incredibly impressive, with personal bests achieved across the board and a strong sense of pride as the two teams finished 26th and 36th, respectively, out of 149 teams in total.

It was a great day to be a part of, with runners, supporters and spectators all enjoying the sunshine and the positive atmosphere.

It was fantastic to see so many members of staff come together to raise money and awareness for the work of the Trust. The team has so far raised over £2,000, which is an amazing achievement and a testament to their teamwork and passion for the cause, not only through their running, but also their fundraising efforts.

Miss the opportunity to donate? You can still contribute here.

These funds will help us to continue to protect vulnerable wildlife and their precious habitats across Hampshire, the Island and our local seas.

A huge thank you to all the runners for taking on this challenge and also to all of those who have been donating and cheering the team on.
