About the event

Far from the rolling hills of the Congo, or the humid cradle of the Amazon sits a different kind of rainforest: a miniature one. Boasting up to 40 plants per square meter, with giant daisies and tower-block viper's bugloss, chalk downland is sometimes nicknamed Britain's miniature rainforest.

This talk will explore the ecology, seasons, and unique properties of this, and other chalkland habitats through the eyes of Harry Munt, who's spent over five years working with them.
