About the event

Join Nicola Wheeler, project officer for the Hampshire & IOW Wildlife Trust, as she explains the Trust's exciting Wilder Wight vision. A part of this vision aspires to establish a long term free living population of beavers on the island through a carefully planned release strategy and management. The Beaver Recovery Project  has the potential to contribute to the restoration and protection of a thriving ecosystem on the Isle of Wight, and help to create a brighter future for the island's amazing wildlife and natural landscapes now very much under threat.
