Tasks involved in this role

This role will be shaped by you and depends on what skills and passions you bring to the table.

Using your art, your craft, your knowledge, and your skills, you can directly or indirectly inspire people to take action for nature.

Activities may include (depending on skills and experience):

  • Going to fairs and other community events to share information on Team Wilder and get people to join.
  • If you’re particularly passionate about or experienced in a wildlife related subject or hobby (e.g. if you’re a biologist or a photographer etc), you can host walks and talks about that on behalf of the Wildlife Trust.
  • Helping the Wildlife Trust staff with planning large events. You’ll be helping with organising and planning the event from finding a venue and putting the entertainment together to advertising and writing social media communications.

Skills and abilities

A driving license and access to a car is desirable, but not essential.

You do not need any special skills or knowledge to take part, but an enthusiasm for wildlife is essential and you enjoy talking to people. If you do have any specialist knowledge or skills that you think would be beneficial, please mention them when applying.
