About the reserve

This small, hazel coppiced woodland was given to the Trust in late 1980’s as a gift in Will of the late Honourable Miss Joane Dutton. The reserve is scattered with mature oak trees, and during the spring it is carpeted with beautiful wildflowers, including primroses and bluebells. Woodpeckers can be heard drumming in the trees, and the reserve hosts a small population of dormice.
